The Association of Canadian Deans of Education (ACDE) invites all conference delegates to attend the inaugural Sherman Lecture, presented by University of Regina President Dr. Vianne Timmons. The Sherman Lecture was named to honour the late Dr. Ann Sherman, Dean of Education at the University of New Brunswick at the time of her death. Dr. Sherman was instrumental in the development and writing of the Accord on Teacher Education, which is being launched at this lecture. Join ACDE in the Education Auditorium at 1:30 pm, May 28th, 2018.

Since becoming President in September 2008, she has played an active role in shaping the strategic direction of the University, with a strong focus on student success, community relationships, and Indigenous and international education.
Dr. Timmons was recently appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada – one of Canada’s highest civilian honours – for her longstanding work in the areas of inclusive education for persons with disabilities, family literacy, and women’s leadership.
